Garanti redesigned the Paracard. Instead of maestro and electron logos, there are mastercard and Visa logos on the new Paracard. Garanti Bank created a new workplace package called Poson for including small business places in payment systems network. Due to Poson, small business owners like tailors and grocers can connect POS to their business places with lower commissions determined for them.

Thanks to the cooperation allowing cell phones to take place of credit cards, consumers can make payments by getting their cell phones close to the contactless payment terminals instead of using credit card at shopping. Thanks to the new technology developed with the cooperation of Garanti Bank and Avea, people can make shopping by using the money in their accounts through the system having the feature of prepayment card as well as credit card. In the common project of Avea and Garanti, the necessity to buy a NFC-compatible cell phone is removed and the subscribers can load their credit cards and prepayment cards or both to their cell phones with the SIM card provided.

Subscribers, who can make payment by selecting the card they want to transact from the menu of their cell phones, will also be able to make payments in places such as mass transportation, building entrances, stadiums, parking areas and beverage and food vending machines in contracted cities. Also, customers will get discounts and presents through digital coupons to be sent to their cell phones with the campaign feature.

Garanti Bank broke a new ground in Turkey with the cooperation of Turkcell and launched Cell-T Paracard, which is a milestone in mobile financial services.

CellT Paracard opens the doors of a new period in shopping by making all consumers' lives easier, whether a bank customer or not.

Turkcell customers can make shopping as the money amount loaded to the card with Cell-T Paracard which is a prepayment card, gain bonuses from shopping and buy TL/minute with the money in their cards. Also, they have the chance to talk free for minutes.

Garanti Bank and Kiğılı broke a new ground in Turkey and launched prepayment card, "Parabol". The holders of Parabol, which can be provided from Kiğılı stores, will have the chance of gaining bonuses at all shopping and 10% Kiğılı Parabol Points" at shopping made at Kiğılı stores.

"Parabol" practice realized by the cooperation of Garanti Bank-Kiğılı will provide Kiğılı fans with extra discounts and opportunities. For the first time in Turkey, Garanti Bank's prepayment cards that some amounts of money are deposited in previously are used instead of money at Rock&Coke organized by Coca-Cola.

Developed for making advance payments given to the corporate employees controlled and practical, Corporate Travel Card is the first in Turkey with its infrastructure. The system allowing depositing money in anyone's name and at any amount provides companied with operational convenience, easy accounting and spending control. Companies using Corporate Travel Card can request collective or card-based reporting and also easily follow where the advances are used without the need of document declaration. Companies may cover their short-term or variable business expenses in particular by Corporate Travel without using/increasing their credit limits.

Platinum Card which brings in more Bonuses and has American Express Logo was added to Bonus Card rating program.

Turkiye Ekonomi Bankası joined Bonus Card Platform.

Garanti made an agreement with China Union Pay (CUP), which is the card payment systems institution of China with a card user over 1 billion. Thereby, Chinese citizens coming to Turkey started to make shopping through Garanti POS with their cards (CUP has an agreement with only Garanti Bank in Turkey).

Garanti made an agreement with Diners and allowed credit cards with Diners logo to be used at Garanti POS (Diners has an agreement only with Garanti Bank in Turkey).

Garanti made an agreement with Mastercard for promoting the use of credit card also in the expenses made by small amount of changes and added contactless payment feature to Bonus Card. This feature called Trink was presented to the consumers by Garanti for the first time in Europe.

Garanti Bank started to make the card changes for its customers who want to use Bonus Card with Trink feature in just 1 minute transaction time.

Garanti Bank made an agreement with American Express, the name of which is identified with prestige in the world and became the only bank having the right to issue and market cards with American Express logo in Turkey. And the credit cards with American Express logo coming abroad can make transactions at Garanti POS.

Garanti combined Bonus Card with design and launched Turkey's first transparent and 3-corner credit card. Thereby it brought in the sense of design to the credit card sector.

Garanti moves its travel and concierge services provided through Shop&Miles &club to the international area. It offered getting free service from Quintessentially to the Privé cards newly issued by making an agreement with Quintessentially from the best companies of the world in its field. The visual of Privé cards was designed by Huseyin Caglayan.

It launched Unibank Bonus credit card or Unibank Prepaid Cards with prepayment feature for the university students.

Name of the bank card Garanti 24 was changed to "Paracard" because of being safer than cash at shopping by cash and also a profitable card due to bonuses gained and for transmitting this message clearly to the target mass.

Foreseeing the services needed by Shop&Miles users in their daily lives and also their travels, Garanti added a module called &club to Shop&Miles and started to provide the card holders with travel and concierge service. Garanti Shopping provides an affordable solution especially to the manufacturers and merchants with no website for sales and also reduces advertising and promoting costs. Additionally, the high traffic of the website creates an opportunity for introducing their products to a broader target mass.

Garanti offered its Bonus Card program to the use of DenizBank customers upon the agreement made and made Bonus Card become an interbank card platform. Garanti, thereby, showed that not just vertical but also horizontal growth could be possible in the sector.
